Saint Michael & Saint Joseph Religious Education, Grades 1 through 8
Psalm 127:3 "Behold, children are a gift of the Lord, the fruit of the womb is a reward."
The religious education ministry is involved in instructing our children in grades 1 though 8 in the Catholic Faith including the Sacraments of First Confession and First Holy Communion.
Our catechists share their faith, their experiences and their love for God with your child.
We offer an additional Sacramental Program for children in grades 4 through 8 who have not yet received their Sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion. Call the religious education office for more information regarding this program.
Participation - Grades 1-8, Sundays 8:00 - 8:45 AM (followed by the 9:00AM Mass). Our program encompasses both class time and Family Mass as one.
All newly registered children, not Baptized at St. Michael Parish or St. Joseph Parish, are required to bring a Baptism Certificate when registering their child.
All children must be registered prior to classes starting. See below for registration dates and times.
Grades 1-8
Confirmation is a two-year program for grades 7 & 8. The Sacrament is received in eighth grade.
Registration for the new school year 2026-2027 will begin on Wednesday, July 1 through Sunday, August 23rd. We will accept registration after Sunday, August 23rd, however, with a $10.00 late fee applied. Registration Fee
- $100 per child grades 1-8 (with a maximum of $200 per family).
- Any registrations received after Sunday, August 23rd will always be accepted, however, a $10.00 late fee will be applied.
- Registration for 2026-2027 will begin Sunday, July 1st and will continue through Sunday, August 23rd.

Religious Education Classes Grades 1-8
We welcome all of our children to participate in our religious education program. Faith Formation for youth is divided into two programs: grades 1 through 6 and a Confirmation program for grades 7 and 8.

Sacramental preparation is a two-year program which encompasses grades one and two.
