Saint Michael Parish Religious Education, Grades 1 through 8
Psalm 127:3 "Behold, children are a gift of the Lord, the fruit of the womb is a reward."
The religious education ministry is involved in instructing our children in grades 1 though 8 in the Catholic Faith including the Sacraments of First Confession and First Holy Communion.
Our catechists share their faith, their experiences and their love for God with your child.
We offer an additional Sacramental Program for children in grades 3 through 8 who have not yet received their Sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion. Call the religious education office for more information regarding this program.
Participation - Grades 1-8, Sundays 8:00 - 9:45 AM (Class time 8:00 - 8:45 AM, Mass 9:00 - 9:45 AM) Our program encompasses both class time and Family Mass as one.
All newly registered children, not Baptized at St. Michael Parish or St. Joseph Parish, are required to bring a Baptism Certificate when registering their child.
All children must be registered prior to classes starting. See below for registration dates and times.
Grades 1-8
Confirmation is a two-year program for grades 7 & 8. The Sacrament is received in eighth grade.
Registration for the new school year 2025-2026 will begin on Sunday, June 8 through Sunday, August 24th. We will accept registration after Sunday, August 24th, however, with a $10.00 late fee applied. Classes Begin......
Classes for grades 1-6 will begin on Sunday September 14th
Classes for grades 7 will begin on Sunday, September 21st
Classes for grade 8 will begin on Sunday, September 28th
2025-2026 Religious Education Calendar
Registration Fee
- $100 per child grades 1-8 (with a maximum of $200 per family).
- Any registrations received after Sunday, August 24th will always be accepted, however, a $10.00 late fee will be applied.
- Registration for 2025-2026 will begin Sunday, June 8th and will continue through Sunday, August 24th.

- Homework will be given for all absences throughout the school year and will be expected to be completed and returned prior to registering your child for the new school year in order to move on to the next grade.
